Since there is no indication in the button to switch from off to low to medium to high to flashing. Directions say to turn off to extend battery. Then do I have to turn it on to have illuminate?
Hi Patti,
The lantern will only automatically light up at night if it’s fully charged and button has been pressed to be on. During the day, you should be able to press the button once and then leave it alone and it will automatically illuminate once it gets dark. If it’s in the sun or even in an artificial source of light, it will remain unlit, because it’s waiting until it’s dark. To test whether it’s on and what light setting you’ve picked, you can cup your hand over the solar panel to trick it into thinking it’s nighttime, and it should illuminate.
Our light settings are as follows:
Press button once for low light.
Press button twice for medium light.
Press button three times for high light.
Press button four times for flashing light.
Press button a fifth time to turn off.

Thanks so much!
